Saving Grace

Everyone wakes up,
Everyday, same old way.
Patterns revolving,
nothing evolving.

We all run the race,
Day to day we're blue.
We'll always lose our pace,
And never follow through.

We change our minds,
We always think twice.
We're always ambiguous,
And we never know why.

We ask ourselves these questions
Of who we really are.
We're waiting on an answer,
An answer from afar.

But how long are we going to wait?
How long until we see?
Or is it just a test of time,
To push us to be free?

Sometimes I feel I need that help,
Just a little push...
But sometimes I think there's something more,
And this should not be rushed.

But I never seem to get it right,
I'm always questioning fate.
I'm back and forth, in then out,
I just want to finish the race.

Please help me, GOD,
I beg of you.
Help to guide my way.
I'm lost in here and I'm so scared,
I need your saving grace.

Amen.

What is Life All About?

How many times have you asked yourself, "What is life all about?" I've asked myself that question time and time again, but lately I've been repeating it in my mind continually. Everyone wants to know the answer. Everyone wants to know the answers to why we get confused, sad, scared, worried, depressed, heartbroken, and all the other negative feelings that come along in life. So what is life really all about? Why do these things happen, and continually?

I don't know the answer, but I do know what I've been through already. Some things aren't fun to go through, and sometimes you just don't know how to handle certain situations. One thought will tell you to do one thing, and then another thought will come to mind, contridicting the first thought. The hard thing is to figure out what is the right decision to make. It's especially hard when you truly, honestly don't know what will be best for the future. I try to do what I feel GOD is telling me to do, but lately it's made things worse for other people (or one person in particular.)

I do have faith and trust in the Lord, and I do know that things will work out the way GOD wants it to, which I believe will be the best outcome for everyone anyways. It's just so hard sometimes... I get so caught up in frustrations, confusion, and sadness, that I'm not sure if GOD's even paying attention to me. And, to tell you the truth, it's rightfully so if He isn't. I don't deserve it. Actually, none of us do. But, the Lord is overly merciful, gracious, and loving. He understands EVERYTHING, while we're very limited to comprehending things. Sometimes, I just wish GOD could "throw us a bone" once in a while, so we know that He's still here, listening, caring, and wanting the best for us.

When you try your hardest to hear GOD's word and what He's telling you to do, but it ends up making things so bad for other people, it just hurts. It's so confusing. I don't know what to do. I know what my heart is telling me to do for the time being, but it just hurts a whole lot. And now I have to deal with building back a trust with certain people, but I don't know what trust I broke. It's so confusing. All I'm trying to do is what's right... not just for myself, but for everyone's future. It's so hard for me to express in words how deeply I honestly do care about these people (and one person in particular,) and I feel that no one really believes me. I'm constantly going back and forth on my feelings, but I've realized that it's not the time right now to make a decision. Sometimes, you just have to try your best, work hard, and see how things will unfold in the future. Nowadays, everything is about instant gratification, but that's not how GOD works. You can either look at things from an "Earthly" point of view, or from "GOD's" point of view. GOD will always triumph, whether it works out exactly how you planned, or not. Usually, when you stick with GOD, it actually works out a whole lot better in the end. The only thing is this: There are always going to be times of trouble... GOD has to test us somehow. And, if we really trust in Him, He will provide... But first, we have to work really hard. I have a whole lot that I need to work on. I can't wait to just jump into the future, because things are extremely difficult for me right now, in all different aspects of my life. I try my best to keep these difficulties to myself, but sometimes I can't. I'm glad that I have certain people in my life that I can open-up to, although it is very hard for me. Thank you to everyone who has been there for me. I especially want to thank this one person in particular who has shown me so such more about myself, in such a short amount of time. Because of her openness and understanding, I've been able to open myself up more and more. Thank you so much. May GOD bless you all.

Smarten-up

Alright President Obama:
You want to know how to REALLY get this economy back on track?
You want to know how to get more jobs in America?
Well, here're a few things that you already know, but ignore:

1) Stop the IMMIGRANTS from coming into this country and taking OUR jobs... they only use us for money, and when they're satisfied, they simply go back to their country and live like kings and queens, while some people who actually live in this country suffer from hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Most of these immigrants don't even care about our country at all. Again, they just use us for our money so they can get what they want, and then go back to their country. Yes, some prefer our country to their own, but a lot of them simply use us. OUR money is being filtered into THEIR countries. Hello... wake-up people.

2) It's time to STOP this stupid "Going Green" crap. Yeah, so people may have good intentions to make our environment healthier and whatnot, but let's look at some of the negative effects of "Going Green:" Did you know that hundreds of factories in the USA have been shut-down because of the "Going Green" phenominon? These factories were said to have given off hazardous pollutants to the environment. So, because it doesn't seem logical for a healthy environment, they decided to simply take away a LOT of Americans' jobs by shutting down the factories. Well, what happens to the factories then? Does the business go out of business? No. The "big boys" of these companies are now buying land from other, cheaper countries. They build the factories there and make quite a profit. Now, aliens from other countries hold the jobs that Americans once did, while we're left for broke.

So, is it really worth going green? Huh? Do you really think it's more important to focus on how healthy our environment is and worry about a little pollution, or do you think it's more important for people to actually have jobs and survive? Hmm, I wonder...

What's a good step to take, President Obama? Is it really all George Bush's fault? Stop putting the blame on others and take some responsibility... not for the rich, but for poor as well! This is a democracy, not a totalitarian regime... at least not yet.

Never Give Up

I am not not a man who's filthy rich.
My pockets have holes, which need to be stitched.
You won't find me with Franklins or Grants,
My wallet is rarely a Jackson fan.

But if I were to lose my job...
And if I were to live like a dog...
I'd count my pennies and add them up,
And tithe those offerings into the cup.

For who do you trust when all else is gone?
And who will escort you from dusk til dawn?
It's not a question of when or how,
And never an answer for here and now.

Do you put your faith in the Lord above?
Are you willing to give Him all of your love?
Will you hold fast when the times get tough,
Or release your grip and simply give up?

When you feel that faith start to slip away,
Get down on your knees and begin to pray.
He'll give you wisdom, He'll comfort your soul,
He'll reassure you, "My child, you are not alone."

And when you awaken, all refreshed and new,
You'll realize His promises have all come true.
Now, as a witness, you're urged to declare it:
Glory to the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit!

Mark 12: 41-44
41Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.

43Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

Wisdom

What do you believe?
Are you blind, or can you see?

Listen, little children
Your name is called to Thee.
Love and seek His wisdom,
For salvation sets you free.

Come and join the circle
Where eternal love resides.
Forever growing stronger
–Your enemies denied.

But while you are here,
Living in this dome,
You need to understand
We're not all here alone.

Echoes sound within your mind,
They cloud your thoughts and blind your sight.
No rest for them until you die,
This truth is certain; they are obliged.

Beware of the lies, tales, and false truths,
For many are easily convinced by the fools.
If you get off-track, you better get back.
Don't strand too far, or else you'll crack.

We slip, we fall; we've done it all.
But only the wise can steady their fall.
It takes some time to see that you're blind,
He tests our hearts to ease our minds.

Remember the truths, His word is good.
Don't let His promises be misunderstood.
There's always a chance for everyone,
He yearns for your love– all in one.

It Isn't Easy...

I once resided in the city of Sodom.

Vengeful, lusting, and full of hate.

My antics never pleased the Lord,

Yet at that time, it didn’t phase me.

I carried on my life with a broken heart–

Not from receiving love, but from not giving it.

It was all about “number one” and no one else.

The Lord, however, is overly merciful.

He loves us no matter who we are, or what we’ve done.

All of my sins had become void,

Although I still wasn’t sure of that.

It took several years for my life to begin its transition.

Many times I was tempted to quit trying.

The struggles didn’t seem worth much of anything,

It only left me stranded away from what I was.

I suddenly found myself alone, scared.

What I felt was morally right never agreed with my flesh.

My mind constantly contradicted my spirit.

I was so confused, or at least that’s what I told myself.

I knew what was right, but I didn’t want the hassle.

Couldn’t I just receive GOD’s mercy and be done with this?!

Why do I have to go through these horrible times?

Doesn’t GOD love me?

He knows that I want to be good, so why can’t He just change me?

Zap me, Lord! I praise you as my Savior, now change me. I beg of you!

... I just didn’t get it... at least not yet...

You see, everyone in my life was just an obstacle to overcome.

Ever since I committed myself to the Lord,

I thought I was all of a sudden better than anyone else who faulted.

I was wiser, stronger, and had more will-power than those fools.

I wanted so badly to prove my Lord’s truth, no matter what the cost.

I wanted to put to shame the people who derailed my Lord’s name.

And I could do it, because I was a Christian!

...I was something else, but I was WAY off-kilter...

Step by step, we learn the process of how things work.

I got ahead of myself, thinking on my own, rather than listening to the Word.

It’s inevitable, though. Mistakes are necessary. That’s how we learn.

We all make fools of ourselves because of our own selfish wants.

Wouldn’t it be nice to simply get things without an effort? That’d be nice.

But then again, that wouldn’t be so nice after all...

Think about this:

How do children learn how to behave themselves?

If the parents simply ask them to stop disobeying, do they abide?

No, they continue misbehaving because there’s no repercussion involved.

If the parents do not try a different way of solving this problem,

Then the children will simply continue disobeying.

That makes sense, right?

So what’s the solution to this problem, then?

Easy... punishment. Not just punishment for vengeance,

But punishment with the intent of love.

To children, they do not see the love...

They only see the negative effects that occur immediately.

They only see the punishment.

And they don’t like it at all.

You won’t see a child agree that punishment is necessary,

Yet the parents know what’s best for the child.

If it was up to the children, they wouldn’t be punished...

They would rather go on misbehaving and creating chaos.

But they don’t see how that effects their future, and who they become.

Now think about that in dealing with your own life.

Do you see the connection?

PROVERBS 4:26 Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm.

JOSUA 1:7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the laws my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.
